August 2016 Call Break-down

This month Company 1 responded to 18 calls for service. This month there was 2 burning smells, 2 ems assists, 4 fire alarms, 4 gas leaks, 1 mutual aid request, 3 smells of smoke or smoke condition, 1 vehicle assist, and there was 1 working fire. As always, the volunteer members of Company 1 are ready to respond 24 hours a day 7 days week.

                            

Rockland County Fire Department Parade

Today members from Fire Companies 1, 2, and 3 marched in the annual Rockland County Fire Department Parade.


9/11 Memorial

Each year members from the community place a flag for each firefighter and police officer lost on 9/11 at a memorial located across from Winters Pond. Later today the town will also be holding a service at the Veterans Memorial Park. 

Joint K9 Dive Drill

Over the weekend members from Company 1 and Ringwood's dive teams spent time working and training with search dogs and their handlers from Eagle Valley Search Dogs.
