December 2016 Call Break-down

This December Company 1 responded to 22 calls for service. This month there was 1 chimney fire, 2 carbon monoxide alarms, 2 extrications, 8 fire alarms, 4 gas leaks, 2 mutual aid requests for a fire, 2 smells of smoke or smoke condition, and we were dispatched to 1 structure fire. As always, the volunteer members of Company 1 are ready to respond 24 hours a day 7 days week.

                            

2016 Call Break-down

This year Company 1 responded to 290 calls for service. These calls were 2 boiler issues, 3 brush fires, 7 burning smells, 2 chimney fires, 11 carbon monoxide alarms, 1 call for down wires, 3 dryer fires, 1 dumpster fire, 6 elevator rescues, 15 EMS assists, 13 extrications, 1 fireplace issue, 114 fire alarms, 1 fluid spill, 2 fuel spills, 33 gas leaks, 1 HAZMAT call, 1 helicopter landing, 2 mutual aid requests for the airboat, 1 mutual aid request for the dive team, 7 mutual aid requests for a fire, 1 mutual aid request for a rescue, 8 oven fires, 25 smells/smoke condition, 1 stand-by, 3 transformer fires, 1 vehicle assist, 8 vehicle fires, 3 working fires, and we were dispatched to 13 structure fires.  As always, the volunteer members of Company 1 are ready to respond 24 hours a day 7 days week. As 2017 starts we are continuing to look forward to serving our community.

                            

Overturned Dump Truck

At around 1PM this afternoon Rescue 1 and Company 2 responded to Route 17 North for an overturned dump truck with a possibly entrapped driver. Once on scene Rescue 1 stood by as the driver and a person from a second vehicle were transported to an area hospital. 

Motor Vehicle Accident With An Entrapped Driver

This afternoon Rescue 1 and Fire Company 2 responded to Route 202 and Route 17 for a motor vehicle accident with an entrapped driver. Once on scene Rescue 1 worked quickly to free the patient by removing the driver's door. After he was freed, the driver was transported to an area hospital.

Yesterday at around 1:30PM Rescue 1 and Fire Company 2 responded to Route 17 South and Corporate Drive for an overturned concrete truck.
