Busy Morning For Company 1

Posted on January 26, 2016

This morning Company 1 responded to 3 calls for service in 3 hours. Starting at around 10:15 Rescue 1 responded to West Ramapo Ave and 202 for a 2 car with MVA with entrapment. Rescue 1 and Engine 117's crew successfully extricated the driver of one of the cars. Afterwards the driver was transported to an area hospital.

Not long after crews had returned from the extrication they were dispatched along with Company 2 to the Sheraton for a fire alarm. After searching the area, fire crews determined the cause of the alarm and began to return to quarters.

The final call of the morning occurred at around 12:20. Rescue 1 was requested to the Fardale section of town to assist EMS crews. After rendering assistance Rescue 1 returned to quarters.

As always we would like to thank our members who continue to volunteer their time to help with these and other calls for service.
